Talk the talk, write the walk

In  order to own or work for a successful business you must be able to speak and write effectively.  Being able to communicate is one of the most essential tools that  you will need to progress in this new era. Ever talked to someone and after every sentence they say the phrase “you know what I’m saying?” and even when they do give you something like a sentence it is fragmented. 

Rest assure he or she will not be asked to sit in at the discussions at the corporate merger meeting.  As African Americans not enough emphasis is placed on grasping and commanding the English language, so much of what is deemed entertainment in our community does not teach us anything that will prepare us for the future.  Many people have a natural gift of creativity but are not able to properly articulate their ideas and share them with the world and potentially make money. I encourage everyone to learn how to write and speak clearly and effectively, it is something that no one can take from you.
