-Lupe Fiasco Strange Fruition
The Chicago rapper Lupe Fiasco dropped a new album entitled Food and Liqour II: The Great American Rap Album, and for the most part receives good reviews from sites like allhiphop.com and mtv.com. I'm not hear to say whether the album is good or not, that's all relative.
What I will say is that this is an album worth purchasing.
I say that do to the unusual art work, or lack there of. The entire album art work from cover to cover is black, including the cd itself. I think that is creative in a sense that to me it conveys a message of resistance to the norm right of the back, and the credits are under the cd tray.
Personally I do like what the album stands for and the message it portrays. The song Bad B*tch talks about the relation between the songs and videos we watch and the effect it has on us.. Roses is a much needed break from the "cocaine and the kilos..and the pills" if you listen to rap nowadays you understand how rap is started to become over saturated with Loud,Mollies, foreign Women,Gucci, etc just a overdose of materialism and commercialism.
In a nutshell if you like rap with a message and that will evoke progressive thought this is an album for you.
With that in mind that Gucci Mane: Trap God goes hamm burrrr!!
