Erykah Badu New Video

R.I.P Geronimo Pratt

Erykah Badu has directed her latest video for the song Out my mind/Just in Time on her album New Amerykah Pt.2. She teamed up with Dame Dash’s umbrella corporation Creative Control for another innovative video. In this new age of Technicolor videos , phantom images, and green screens(no offense to any of those cause I use those effects) it is nice to see something refreshingly retro.

Light Skin Dark Skin and Everything in between

In 2011 more black people all over the world still struggle with identity. Some have lack of cultural identity some struggle with spiritual identify and some suffer from pigment identification. Calling ourselves African American would be sort of a farce seeing that we are descendant and not directly from Africa. Being called black isn’t really accurate because very few of us are the color black.

Blame it on the White Man

The #1 reason brothers have for not being successful is(drum roll please) THE WHITE MAN! In 2011, many people still blame “him” for being in the position that they are currently in. Although I agree that “he” has placed many obstacles in our paths but at this current juncture the biggest obstacles in out lives is ourselves.

"But I grew up without a father”-A Post by Fredick Thuglass at HighOfConsciousness.Blogspot.com

(Post from guest blogger Fredick Thuglass from High Of Consciousness)http://highoffconsciousness.blogspot.com/

Its seems as though behind the EBT and double lamented race card in every “ig’nant” nigga’s black man’s wallet a “but I grew up without a father” card is kept in reserve. To that I say whatever the fuck…I’m sick of black men clinging to this tired excuse every time they abandon a child, commit a crime, join a gang, or engage in other random acts of niggerdom. Granted there are many disadvantages that come with growing up in a single parent home but that doesn’t excuse being an immoral under achiever. Being the product of a single parent home, I feel as though I’m qualified to commentate on this matter. My parents divorced for numerous reasons when I was only three years old and my Mother did everything in her power to raise my sister and I. My father was never really a stable part of my life, he made sporadic appearances here and there.
