This album seems to pick up were the first one left off, it has that same jazz and soul sound you felt on the first. This album seems to be more personal. What leads me to believe that is album book inside the cd. It has more pictures of here and more of her artwork. The poem listed below was written by here and in the back of the album book is Kemitic symbols, Kamet being the original name for Egypt.
15 tracks of straight unmatched creativity. Only one feature on the album and that is by Stephen Marley. It was released in 2000, a time were materialism in hip hop was beginning to reach new heights.
The cover art was produced by Robert Maxwell and the additional shots were taken by Sam Bowie & Don Thompson.
Overall I give it a 9.5 out of 10. My favorite tracks are time’s a wastin, in love with you, and of course green eyes.
Warriors reminder by E.Badu
I am awake
My mind is free
I am Creative
I love myself
My will power is strong
I am Brave
I practice patience
I don’t judge folks
I give not to receive
I don’t expect
I accept
I listen more than I talk
I know I'll change
I know you'll change
I'll hold on one more day
I start over when necessary
I create my own situations
I am cosmic
I don’t have the answers
I desire to learn
I am the plan
I am strong
I am weak
I want to grow
I know I will
I take on responsibility
I hide myself from no one
I’m on my path
Warriors walk alone
I wont let my focus change
Taking out the demons in my range...
