Man I had a blast at the Heineken concert in Stone Mountain last Friday on the 8th. Chichi d Prince, Pill, and Pusha T all preformed at club Echelon 3000. The invent location was kept under wraps until the day off. Me and my partner went, we thought it was going to start at 6p.m but you know it was C.P time.
Chyhi hit the stage at about 8:30p.m and put on a pretty good show. He still seems like he is getting comfortable on stage. With more experiences his shows can only get better. He went to Redan for a minute my high school Alma Mater and I actually saw some of my old high school aquatints’ . The two songs that stood out the most was bulletproof(which he sampled La Roux song bulletproof) and 1000lb with Pill. I actually got a chance to chill with Pill and his manager after the performance and they were some really down to Earth people, chilling at the bar with just themselves. He told me that the move from Grind Time to Rick Ross’s label May Bach Music Group, wasn’t personal and it was business and it had to be done. For those who don’t know Pill is a real Atlanta native and his songs are real representatations of Atlanta life, you tube and Google him.
The other act was Pusha T, his performance was great. He told a little about why the Clipse are no more and encouraged his brother Malice to peruse the career he is currently in. Malice has also written a book . The performance from Pusha T was live, he had a live band(I want to say they were called The Fam), and a DJ who really new how to mix, not just play songs of the Ipod and throw a backspin on there.
I got some video(not good video) of the performance and when I find the pics I will upload them too, but the Heineken Red star access tour gets two thumbs up from me. Did I mention free Heineken all night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
again poor sound quality decent video camera coming soon.
