Assata autobiography review

The Book Assata is an autobiography of Assata Shakur and it makes our lives seem meager in comparison. Very well written and the details and images it puts in your head is very vivid, you can see the story unfold as if she is sitting down and telling you the story.
She was accused of first degree murder of New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster resulting from a shootout that left another member of Black Liberation Army dead and her with a gun shot wound to the stomach. During her incarceration she was beaten savagishly and treated horribly. In addition to being accused of murder she was also accused of robbing a bank and kidnapping. She escaped and fled to Cuba where she has been in political asylum since 1984. The FBI has put a 1 million dollar bounty out for and labeled her as a domestic terrorist.
Excellent Read 8.5/10 Recommend everyone read it . Age 13+
