Killer Mike BANGx3 mixtape review
If you like the following terms “swag”, “futuristic”, “stupid fruity” ,”racks on racks”. If you like auto tune and harmonized rap melodies, If you like stories about how someone sells all the drugs in the world and is the plug than unfortunately this album is not for you.
Killer Mike has put together an classic mixtape. From the very first track get’s your attention reminiscent of how his debut album Monster started off, but it’s not the ultra aggressive style you are use to it’s more subtle and more focused. If you want a real representation of Atlanta, this is it.
I like how he has different producers on here especially Lil C, he is the young Grand Hustle producer who made shoulder lean and porn star. He also had tracks from No Id, Raz Beats, Don Cannon, and Dj Toomp. It is southern to it’s core but it’s a new sound, with Atlanta and 70’s foundations to it.
I like Hello, In my city, Blind Justice, and Pay Up( which has a Portishead sample from the album Dummy, told ya’ll it was a dope cd) and Blind Justice is defiantlely going on my all time favorite songs list
I give it a 8.5/10 . It has some club songs but really some music you can through in the car or sit around and plot too. Not for kids though def check it out. It’s only 9 tracks though
