Elzhi- Elmatic Review(1st 10/10 rating)

Man I love creativity and innovation. Elzhi combines both in his new mixtape Elmatic. He takes Nas’s Illmatic and puts his own lyrics on the classic LP. First if you never heard the Nas album Illmatic go back and listen to fully appreciate this mixtape.

Elzhi comes from the Detroit and came up with the group Slum Village, but has launched his own projects over the past couple of years and is making a name for himself not just in Detroit but Internationally. I respect the fact that he talented enough to bring you something different and the same time not try and preach and seem as if he is infallible as well.

This mixtape get’s a 10/10 from me.(the first one I have issued for a music review). The content , the creativity, the timeliness of it , this album is perfect. I will not be surprised if this mixtape receives some awards from multiple outlets.

My favorite tracks One love, The Genesis, Memory Lane, and the World is yours. Really the whole cd, I can defiantly see other people taking there favorite artist albums and making mixtape out of them.

This for grown up 17+, If you heard Illmatic you know what kind of vibe it is.

Shout out to my boy Mr. Grant for this one, he is the one who put me on to the mixtape. Cool brother with a heightened sense of self he will probably become a contributor to this blog s well as my all time Nemesis Mr. Gunn!
