Curren$y and the Jets Stoned Immaculate Tour in Atlanta.JET LIFE

Curren$y and the Jets Shut Down The Masquarade
Check out the video

Ladies and Gentleman you want a show, go see Curren$y and The Jets, you will not be disappointed. The energy they give to the crowd is excellent and you can see its mutual respect on the part of the crowd and the artist performing. This was my first chance to see them live and from the time MonstaBeats hit the stage to the End when Big K.R.I.T came out at the end me and my crew were hype.

You defiantly get your moneys worth with this one each member of the Jets has their own 15 minutes of fame before the main event, Spitta Anderitti, comes out cool, calm, and collected and just progressively elevates the crowd to near frenzied heights. Along with performing most of the bangers on the new Stoned Immaculate album he takes it back to Pilot Talk I & II,  Covert Coupe, Verde Terrace the list goes on.

Young Roddy

At the end of the show he gives out a couple of t-shirts, hoodies, hugs, daps, photos, and autographs to the fans that stay behind even signing a mans Jordan's. All in All a great show 9/10
only because he didn't perform "Blood,Sweat, and Gears", but I did get to hear Fiend's part though and for the first time I can put a face Marcelo . Check out the video of ATLFAME(BELOW) live in the building like we always are…AND JUST LIKE THAT, WE OUT GO GET THAT JET WORLD ORDER 2

Lupe Fiasco Food and Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album pt.1

                             -Lupe Fiasco Strange Fruition

The Chicago rapper Lupe Fiasco dropped a new album entitled Food and Liqour II: The Great American Rap Album, and for the most part receives good reviews from sites like allhiphop.com and mtv.com. I'm not hear to say whether the album is good or not, that's all relative.

What I will say is that this is an album worth purchasing.
I say that do to the unusual art work, or lack there of. The entire album art work from cover to cover is black, including the cd itself. I think that is creative in a sense that to me it conveys a message of resistance to the norm right of the back, and the credits are under the cd tray.

Personally I do like what the album stands for and the message it portrays. The song Bad B*tch talks about the relation between the songs and videos we watch and the effect it has on us..  Roses  is a much needed break from  the "cocaine and the kilos..and the pills" if you listen to rap nowadays you understand how rap is started to become over saturated with Loud,Mollies, foreign Women,Gucci, etc just a overdose of materialism and commercialism.

In a nutshell if you like rap with a message and that will evoke progressive thought this is an album for you.

With that in mind that Gucci Mane: Trap God goes hamm burrrr!!

Rei(@rei504) gets "lyricquler" with atlfame.com, lyricquler?

"I need You to bring me down, I can Do It Myself"
                 -Rei(solo)

Yes ladies and gentleman lyricquler(lyricaler..yes we know it's not a real word, yet!) the term Rei in advertly used to describe his progression from his youth up til now. He has several mixtapes out now with some great material, with features from both upcoming and established artist. His music is more than just your "I sold 100 bricks before dinner and killed 50 people this morning stuff." He seems to embrace the fact that his flow and content are not mainstream. He rocks a broken handcuff on his arm, doesn't hold back, and isn't afraid to get personal.

He is one of the only artist that we got to interview and get footage of him preforming due to the short nature of the show, but he did rock the place, well him and the 50 people he brought out there with him.(and we are not kidding he literally had 50+ people with him)

Brawl At Indie Draft 2012

Indie Draft

The 1st Indie Draft was set to be an event like no other in the city of Atlanta.  It was on August 7th 2012 at the Museum Bar in Atlanta. The place was packed with more people waiting outside to get in and big artist like Mykko Montana and the HoodRich Dj's where slated to make appearances. All that changed around 9:30pm when a brawl broke out between ###### and *****(not name dropping), there are unconfirmed reports that shots had been fired inside the venue. Lay(@artlives22) and I were conducting interviews when all Hell brooke loose, people running into to room that we were in(which was a room with one way in and one way out) to get away from the incident.
I actually know one of the members from ****** and hopefully I will be able to conduct and interview so they can clear the air about what happen and give us more details
Hopefully there will be another one soon or maybe even next year but for now, the event only last 2 hours.
Coming Soon with be the interviews we conducted.

Boondocks Season 4?

For all the Aron McGruder fans out there you will be pleased to know that there will be ANOTHER season of the Boondocks. This will be Adult Swims fourth season and seems like it may be it's most controversial season yet, with Mcgruder usually satirizing reality, the Trayvon Martin fall out, upcoming elections, and monopolizing of the music market by certain groups would hopefully be some topics that he touches on. With that being said if they use any of the topics I just mentioned..I WANT IN!!
Can't wait to see what the cast will be up to and if they will finally introduce Ceaser another black kid that moved into the neighborhood in the newspaper series.

No release date is set. More updates log onto Adultswim.com

Studio Session w/ Luchie,Supreme Team, Young Dose

Another session with the Supreme Team, these cats work hard so you have to respect it.  This is actually the day I meet Taylor J(@TaylorJtakeover), Young Dose(@Doseworld), and Luchie Santiago. So I had to make this quick video about that day, even though we were there ALL DAY.
Supreme Team is all over Atlanta.

ATLFAME sits down with producer extraordinare Sir Clef

I had the opportunity to meet super producer Clef from Philly about a week ago, the interview was really on the spot and last minute, but I promise I'm going to get another interview with more in-depth questions.
Big thanks to PO for letting me shoot in his studio, it's gonna be a great summer.

Behind The Scenes with Young Dose, Luchie Santiago and The Supreme Team

Rapper Young Dose

Last week I got a small glimpse into the daily activities of up and coming artist like Young Dose, The Supreme Team and Luchie Santiago, these guys are really on the verge of breaking grounds in a multitude of ways.

First I would start of with Young Dose, a rapper who was work with everyone from Rick Ross to Future and many more in between, he allowed me to get some shots of him coming up with concepts with R & B star Luchie Santiago and even allowed me to grab some exclusive footage of him at the video shoot of him, Future, and Young Scooter for the smash single "Anything u Want."

Andre Benjamin, please stop rapping.

Aint nobody bout to wear them clothes nigga.

Words I thought I’d never say as an Atlanta native. Hip-hop bloggers, tastemakers, purists and even fair weather rap fans all consider dre a.k.a. Andre 3000 one of the best rappers of our generation if not the best rapper of the past 15 years. As ½ of the greatest group of all time dre dropped some of the most introspective, soulful, smart, funny and real verses in the history of hip-hop. Even the most biased east coast critic couldn’t deny his lyricism and wit, and most if not all Outkast albums are regarded as classics. His latest work on various collaborations leave much to be desired.

The Weekend "Wicked Games" video directed by @nimiHendrix

For those who live under a rock, The Weekend is one singer from Canada who is slowly taking over the underground and periodically even gets play on the radio. The style of music is unique, alluring, and whimsical at the same time. Melodic beats over soft vocals is sure to get a party popping for the ladies in good way, but I'm not here to really talk about him, I'm here to talk about the video..

@NessLee exclusive interview With WWW.ATLFAME.COM

Wasting no time in the New Year Albany born Atlanta breed rapper Ness Lee has kicked it off with a bang, releasing his new track and video entitled “Lord Knows”, the track is a rebuttal to the Loaded Lux and Murder Mook track and video “True or False”, in the video Loaded Lux and Murder Mook have pictures of southern rappers and are literary ripping them apart while yelling false. They are yelling false because in an interview awhile back Jay Electronica had an interview and ask “True or False up north cats got rich jacking our slang, True or False it’s rappers down south than will burn up north rappers alive, etc…”

The video Ness Lee(@NessLee) put out was kind of a throwback based on today’s standards of the holy rap trinity of “Bling, Bitches, and Blunts” it was Hip Hop, I mean old school break dancing, you and your crew beat boxing in the back hip hop, very creative with the deep saturation and different angles used in it. Looks like they had fun recording it, I should know because I was there.

At the conclusion of the video shoot I sat down with Ness Lee a.k.a Ham Perkins to understand his motives for the upcoming year. Below is the interview, the actual video, and of course links to his facebook and twitter pages. 2012 is going to be an interesting year.
